Harissa is a chilli-based spice blend widely used in Moroccan, Tunisian and Algerian cooking. The Get Spice blend contains fiery bird eye chilli, hot chilli powder, garlic flakes, caraway and cumin seeds that gives a sweet taste to the strong spice blend. It is most commonly served as a wet condiment side dish in which to dip pieces of grilled and barbecued meat, stirred into soups and stews or added to the sauce for grain dishes such as couscous. To make a wet rub add the Harissa blend to olive oil, lemon juice and if preferring, some tomato puree. It is great used as a dry spice blend to add flavor to all meat and vegetable dishes.
